Real numbers, really.
$300,000 to $600,000 for a whole new house.
$50,000 to $100,000 for a new room on your house.
$30,000 to $100,000 for a new kitchen in your house.
$10,000 to $30,000 for a new bathroom in your house.
Money talks, early and often.
We believe money isn’t the most important thing.
But, money is an important thing.
If you are mortal…
The laws of physics are always your chief limiting factor, in construction.
Budget is always the next boundary on possibility.
Our job is to wrap the canvas of your dreams around classic, technical, construction ingenuity and build something that surprises the world. Something beautiful.
Like the Wright Brothers did.
Granted, your bathroom remodel might not make the papers,
but we predict your guests will be wishing for more reading material.
You know, so they can spend more time in your beautiful new bathroom.
Our first conversation will end with a number.
“These are awesome ideas, I can already see, we’re going to build something beautiful together. Speaking of beautiful, and durable, I would be estimating the budget for something like this around $100,000.”
“Were you hoping to invest less than $100k, or more?”
Our weekly conversation will start with a number.
“Here is a detailed budget report.”
“We’ve invested $29,000 so far, and we’re $2172 under budget so far.”
Nerdy stuff about Pricing
We provide all construction services at cost,
known in the industry as a “cost plus contract.”
Each item of cost, including overhead items,
is described and listed on your Project Budget.
The sum of all item costs becomes the total project cost.
If you remove an item from the project scope, the total cost is decreased;
if you add an item to the project scope, the total cost is increased.
Cost Plus – Pros
- Best price guaranteed: no contingency risk so you get the best price per item.
- Highly customizable: transparent, line-item pricing makes changes a breeze.
- Quality is protected: there is no monetary incentive for your builder to cut corners.
Cost Plus – Cons
- More time upfront committed to planning and estimating.
For years, we’ve found this costing method to be the most reliable way to deliver beautiful work at a fair and sustainable price while giving you, the homeowner, the maximum amount of liberty for customization.
